Liguria  country  house

Corsiglia is a quiet village. The ideal place to relax, paint, write or just eat and sleep. The open area surrounding the house has miles of rugged trails where you can find a cornucopia of Mediterranean herbs and mushrooms. In fact, these valleys are amongst the largest producers of edible mushrooms in Italy (e.g. Porcini mushrooms, etc.).

Activities include hiking and horseback riding at a nearby stable. Within half hour drive, you have all the typical attractions of Italian towns, including:

• Beach in Sestri Levante and other areas along the Riviera
• Visit the Cinque Terre
• Visit Santa Margherita and Portofino
• Visit Genoa, Christopher Columbus’ hometown with the largest acquarium in the Mediterranean and Europe’s “Capital of Culture” in 2003
• Scuba dive in the Portofino marine preserve
• Rent a boat and fish
• Play golf in Rapallo

CONCLUSIONS

The house is simple, in good conditions, and represents an excellent value. You get an honest place to live at an unbeatable price close to Cinque Terre, Portofino, Genova and beyond.

Keep in mind that Corsiglia is not a flashy tourist destination. It is rustic, remote and has no shops and no cafes. Corsiglia is ideal for individuals that prefer quiet living and the outdoors.
